This warranty claims procedure outlines the terms and conditions for returning products under Emerald Alarms, (EA) warranty policy.

Process to submit a claim

To submit a warranty claim, the following must be provided:

  • ·A completed warranty application form, available at emeraldalarms.com.au/warranty
  • Valid proof of purchase (receipt or invoice)
  • Acknowledgement that the Troubleshooting and Maintenance Guide has been read and the suggestions followed (ie. applies for beeping alarms with removable batteries and troubleshooting false alarming)
  • The retained faulty alarm unit

Emerald Alarms (EA) Claim Process

  1. Application Review EA will review your submitted warranty application and assess its validity.
  2. Claim Approval & Next Steps Once validated, EA will advise on the next steps, which may include sending a replacement alarm.
  3. Replacement Alarm Dispatch of Wireless alarm a) Wireless alarm : If approved, EA will post a replacement alarm directly to you. Should the product be required for testing a prepaid return slip for the faulty unit shall be provided and needs to be made available.
  4. Hardwired alarms, EA will post a replacement product directly to you. Should the product be required for testing a prepaid return slip for the faulty unit shall be provided and needs to be made available. The claimant is responsible for arranging installation by a qualified electrician.

Processing Timeframes (Guideline Only)

  • Postal claims will typically be processed and dispatched within 2 business days of approval

Additional Notes

  • Battery-powered main alarms and units with confirmed single or double beep faults may be replaced via post.
  • Alarms suspected of false triggering due to environmental conditions rather than manufacturing defects may still be submitted. Please consult the Maintenance and Troubleshooting guide for assistance with environmental issues.
